A Fascinating Exploration
Dreams are strange and open up new realms of perception that one wouldn’t be able to conceive in their usual conscious state. This unfamiliar territory attracts me as I explore my visions to create something new and refreshing that’s close to my heart. It’s a privilege that I can share my love of exclusive art with you by creating such striking pieces.
Look Within Yourself
I’m sure you’ve all experienced a window between the real world and the one within you, usually, a state that befalls upon you when you’re just about to sleep. It might seem like just another nightmare to you but for me and several other artists, hypnagogia is a way to generate original ideas and create decorative sculptures.
The Slumber with a Key
From 300 BC to the 21st Century, the Darkness has lent arms to all the prodigal artists and philosophers like Aristotle, Salvador Dalí, Newton, and Edison. Their experiments with cognitive neuroscience intrigued a Belgian artist to delve into himself and draw from this well of unexplored realm like never seen before.
Dalí called this state “The Slumber With a Key”, a key to unlock the doors between reality and fantasy. This state is characterized by visions and unusual experiences that help me explore my creativity and express my most original idea in the form of cartoonish creations.
Experiencing a Lifetime in an Instant
The Human Brain is perhaps the most difficult piece of the puzzle of our universe that we might never be able to solve to its full extent. The only thing we can do is experience the gift of life and unravel the secrets of nature in the little time we get.
Losing myself in the process of forming a new sculpture, I am completely absorbed in the creative process. My art is a reflection of this particular state of consciousness, and I hope to inspire others in the same way Beethoven, Robert Desnos, and Edgar Allan Poe have been inspiring centuries of artists all over the world.
Walking the Invisible Thread Between Two Worlds
To dream is to live. I have always yearned to contribute something to satisfy my artistic pursuits to create nonconformist luxury sculptures. In order to do so, I decided to walk between the planes of the material world and dreamscape. Here I discovered the truths about my life and the connection between human nature and the nature of our universe.
An Attempt to Unveil Brain’s Mystery
The familiar states of consciousness are asleep and awake, hypnagogia is between the two. This state is characterized by visions and unusual experiences that help me explore my creativity and express my most original ideas. I note down these peculiar visions on my cell phone including things I see, feel, or experience. Introspective process aids me in establishing an artwork that is exemplary as I add the finishing touches using gold and silver to create stainless steel sculptures.
From Abnormal Events to Absurd Sculptures
I am guided by the images and feelings that surface during hypnagogia. When I put my hands into the clay to form a new sculpture, I often draw on these dreamlike visions. These abnormal events allow me to uncover the desires and thoughts I hide deep within myself. What’s brought to the surface is ultimately what I model into clay, losing myself in the process in my studio, grateful that I’m privileged enough to find something that makes me appreciate the gift of life to the fullest.
Forgetting Time and Space
Forging my art in metal is a blissful moment in which time and space fade away, and I am completely absorbed in the creative process. My art is a reflection of this particular state of consciousness, and I hope it can inspire others as much as it does me.

Even though it sounds like a complex procedure, Hypnagogia only happens for a short amount of time, usually in seconds. It feels longer than it actually is. Like the dreams where you’re conscious of the fact that you’re sleeping and observe yourself from outside. It’s all about losing myself to invent something that wouldn’t have been possible to achieve in a conscious state.
There are several other sources that drive my inspiration to create something surreal. Prompted by artists like Joseph Klibansky, Koons, and Kaws also while drawing on my personal beliefs and experiences, I bring the vision to life.
Paradoxically, you can’t find yourself unless you get lost first. It’s a blissful moment for me when I’m completely absorbed in the creative process of sculpting. I hope my work inspires others and they find themselves in the process of whatever they’re trying to achieve.
